The Kanile'a Willie K Super Tenor is a testament to both craftsmanship and tribute to the late musician Willie K. This model features a 19" super tenor scale length with a unique 5-string setup that combines Low G and re-entrant G strings, creating exceptional tonal versatility.
Constructed entirely from solid premium Hawaiian Koa for the body, the uke produces a bright, resonant sound with impressive projection and aesthetic beauty. The fingerboard, bridge, and headplate are crafted from ebony, offering a smooth playing experience and durability. The neck, made from solid Mahogany and reinforced with graphite, ensures remarkable stability.
The Willie K model includes a UV-cured gloss finish on the body, a UV silk finish on the neck, and additional design details such as Kailua Beach Sand inlays, an ebony bevel cutaway, and the Willie K Maui Tribe Rosette in black and Koa. The TRU-R bracing system enhances resonance and tonal clarity, while the inclusion of a graphite-infused Black TUSQ nut and saddle ensures precise intonation. Black Gotoh Stealth tuners deliver smooth and accurate tuning.
