The Gold Tone BUB is a baritone-scale banjo ukulele with a unique design and maple construction. It features an 8-inch multi-ply maple rim and a 19-inch neck scale length, making it suitable for players who prefer a deeper tone. The Remo Weatherking head contributes to the instrument's bright and punchy sound.
The body includes a flat back maple resonator, bound in cream ABS for a polished look, and is finished in satin Vintage Brown. The maple neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 20 frets and mini dot inlays. The ZeroGlide nut provides a nut width of 1.38 inches, offering smooth playability across the neck. Open-gear guitar-style tuners ensure stable tuning, while the bridge is crafted from maple with an ebony cap for durability and tone enhancement.
This model comes equipped with a banjo uke-style tailpiece, chrome-plated hardware, and a hardshell case for protection. Gold Tone instruments are set up in Titusville, Florida, USA, and this model is also available in a left-handed configuration. With its "folkternative" design and quality craftsmanship, the BUB combines the essence of traditional banjo tones with the playability of a ukulele.
